		<description>In order to use your phone on a carrier other than what was intended, you need to have the phone &quot;unlocked&quot;. It is usually a difficult procedure to unlock a phone, but with the razr being as popular as it was, you may be able to find step-by-step instructions on how to do it yourself. The only exception to this is if the carriers are not compatible. Some carriers use GSM technology, while others use CDMA... as long as the carrier you&#039;re leaving uses the same technology as the one you&#039;re going to, it is theoretically possible to unlock the phone and transfer it to another carrier.
