Can my Apple iPhone 3Gs, if unlocked from AT &T, now be used for Verizon?

Hello. I completely misphrased this the first time I asked, so I apologize if it comes across as repetitive. Basically, if I have an Apple iphone 3Gs, that was originally used on the AT & T network but has since been unlocked (and jailbroken, for that matter), can I take it into a Verizon store, get a brand new SIM card, and use it on the Verizon network? Thank you.

What are some cool / unique GSM phones? (ATT Tmobile)?

I need a prepaid phone, so gsm network phones only. like att or tmobile. I dont want a normal phone. like all the smartphones are large touchscreens. All look the same to me. I like japanese phones and think theyre unique but to get them here theyre like 0.

I like the kyocera echo, but its for sprint.

I like the Dell Venue Pro, but its running Windows 7. Which i hate.

I like the Sony Ericsson Equinox(i love flip phones, like japanese ones.) but it has only 2.2" screen?And i heard bad reviews about it.

I like the Blackberry Torch that slides up (dont know what model ) but you need a data plan..

I like the Dell Streak Mini 5 because it has a large 5" display. But its a little pricey because id have to get it unlocked to work with tmobile...

Do you have any phones to list that you think id like?
I also like the kyocera neo, but its for metro pcs..

Moved to a smartphone and love some features, but at this moment its a drag on my wallet. Still, I was wondering if I got my stuff moved to a "normal" phone if I could still do things with my smartphone WITHOUT being billed, basically like a PDA. Mainly...

1) Calendar I love. With the phone not active and having the signals turned off, could I still make use of the calendar or not?

2) less needed, but internet? Mainly could I turn on the wifi and hookup to a wireless router can the net still be used?

3) other random stuff like inkpad, or games I previously had downloaded that I at least don't think require active connection to the net?

How come smartphones can determine location by wi-fi?

I know that many smartphones (at least those with iOS or Android) can use wi-fi as more detailed location recognizer than cell network, when GPS is off (or not present on particular device). Although I've configured a few home wi-fi networks myself and I never ever entered their physical location into any settings - I didn't even see the option to do so on any wi-fi router. How come then wi-fi can be used as location source?

Does internet browsing/instant messaging (not texting) cost extra when using smartphones, particularly ATT?

I've been thinking about getting a smartphone with ATT lately and was wondering if browsing the web and/or instant messaging (not texting) costs extra outside of a regular minutes/texts plan. I'm rather new to the world of smartphones.
