do blackberries and other smartphones cost more a month than regular cell phones on Verizon Wireless?

im not really planning on using the internet or any of that fancy stuff on the phone. i just want the phone cuz i like smartphones.
but i want to get a blackberry curve
does it cost more a month to use a blackberry curve than a regular cell phone?

    Yes, any blackberry or a smartphone that has launched since nov 2008 like the samsung omnia requires a data plan of 29.99 or higher. Whether u use the web or not, it is auto added and u will be responsible for paying for it. If you get an older smartphone u wont have to get the data plan.

    Yes it does

    I think you need to pay $20 a month for the internet…even if you don't use it. At least that was what I was told when I went to Verizon
