How do I set up a used Sprint Cell Phone?

Hi,
I was given a cell phone and its great because it has a camera and a whole bunch of cool pics, but I don´t know if I can get a plan or what I would prefer is a prepaid card that I can just put in, but I don´t know if that´s possible.
