Many people are continuing to demand better camera quality and this has created a spell over a fact on the used cell phone market period most used camera phones today do not include cameras that are built in, however as we see increasing consumer demand for new products, existing phones with onboard cameras will continue to and turn the used cell phone market.

For many people a camera cell phone is what they want. In fact greater than 50 per cent of all phones sold have cameras that are built in. The result is that today statistics show in excess of one billion phones were shipped in the year 2008 which included a built in camera. A number of technologies have converged into the cell phone which have made them camera ready.
One of these is the inclusion of a CMOS sensor which has made it possible to use camera technology on board these small devices. In the old days it required a CCD technology which was requisite of bigger and more cumbersome hardware. In addition is that of the new multi media messaging service or MMS for short, which has a loud people to send pictures, multimedia files, and other related files to each other from their phones.
When cell phones first started including a camera, they usually did so with what is known as VGA resolution. This resolution is technically described as 640 by 240 pixels wide. One of the first phones to use this is in fact from Nokia. The Nokia 6810 was the specific model. A phone that was early on the market to include an onboard flash is from Samsung. The drive for improved quality in pictures has created a market flurry of models that can deliver bigger images with th much improved picture quality. Sony Ericsson provides many models which include cameras and do so as part of the Cybershot brand.
Some of the more recent hardware that delivers large up to eight mega pixels size, includes the Samsung INNOV 8 model. The result of this incredible on board camera technology is that many people no longer use their digital cameras because their cell phones produce the equivalent image quality.
