The Motorola Razr is one of the most popular cell phones ever made. This cell phone is the flip open or clam shell design and started out with a very successful fashion type marketing campaign and has since become a very popular everyday phone. The Motorola Razr is also known as the V3 and was originally designed for low production volumes. However when it got released to the marketplace it was one of the thinnest phones available at the time, which further increased its popularity. Original Razrs had 5.5 MB of memory which you could upgrade to 10 MB of memory and a camera which was capable of VGA pictures. Models which followed such as the V3 and V3i included more memory [32 MB] for the three and place that amount of memory for the V3 X. The onboard camera was reputed to have a 1.2 MB a pixel camera and a 2.0 MB a pixel camera for the 3 X. Some of the other features which came along in later phones afforded users larger and more appropriate keys which had more space between them including some with rubber dividers to separate the keys. This was very useful for cell phone users that had larger fingers.
Some of the different carriers will allow the Razr to work with CDMA, GSM, and UDSDP cell networks. Since about 2005 forward, many of the Motorola Razr’s included a USB Port which allowed the transfer of multimedia finals. Most recently the Razr's include crystal talk which is an onboard software that improves voice quality and many people report that it makes a big difference.
Because there have been so many Razrs sold it is no surprise to find many of them for sale in the used marketplace. What is also very good about this phone is the sheer number of accesories which can be used with it. As a result there is a wide range of price spread which of course has much to do with how old the phone is and what kind of model you are looking at.
