Comptel says that it has agreed on the delivery of its mediation solution, Comptel EventLink, to Telecommunicatie Bedrijf Suriname (Telesur), a full service provider of fixed, mobile and data communications in Suriname. According to the agreement, Comptel will deliver the convergent Comptel EventLink solution to support mediation of the local, long distance, TDMA, GSM and GPRS environments of Telesur.
The delivery is ongoing. The value of the agreement has not been published.
"We made the decision to replace our in-house mediation system with a productized solution in order to enable controlled collection and distribution of call records, as well as reporting and auditing within the billing stream" said Robert Hahn, IT Manager at Telesur. "We selected Comptel to be our business partner in this effort due to their strong technology, experience and reputation," according to Dirk Currie, Managing Director, Telesur. Currie went on to explain that "using the Comptel EventLink mediation solution, we will streamline our billing and back office processes as well as gather intelligence from the network that will allow us to plan products and services for the future"
